The 4th annual FREE community BBQ and picnic in honor of our veterans and first responders, which is completely free to the public, will take place on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1 – 4 pm at the St. Francis DiPaolo Society Club, located at 152 8th Ave in Frankfort.

Organizer, Daniel J. Enea, owner of Daniel J. Enea Funeral and Cremation Care in Herkimer explained that the goal continues to be providing an event that brings the community together to honor those who protect our safety and well-being.

Enea said, “We are very thankful to have the support of Nicholas Licari of Big M Supermarket again this year. They have offered to provide the chicken BBQ!”  Enea explained that the chicken BBQ will be put on by CVA coaches, is free to guests, and first come; first served.  The picnic is designed to bring local families together for a fun-filled day with entertainment, including food, soft drink, and live music (the National Anthem will be performed by Frank Diskin of the Fulton Chain Gang and entertainment by Granger). There will also be games for the kids to enjoy including face painting by Marissa Perkins.

With all the food and entertainment already set in place, Enea said, “We’re still looking for food donations and volunteers.”  RSVP for this free event is not necessary but helpful for event planning. For more information, to volunteer, or to RSVP, contact Daniel Enea at (315) 508-5250 or
