The Herkimer County Music Educators Association is pleased to announce the selection of around 300 students to the HCMEA Fall All–County Music Festival. The students will participate in one of three ensembles, Elementary Chorus, Jr. High Band, and High School Chorus. Each ensemble will rehearse for two days with a guest conductor, culminating with a final concert on Saturday, November 5. Frankfort-Schuyler Central School will host this year’s festival.
Elizabeth Zehr will direct the Elementary Chorus, Joseph Pirada the Jr. High Band, and Brian Stevens the High School Chorus.
The students selected for All–County will be representing ten public schools in Herkimer County. “We are very proud of these students and their accomplishments,” said Emily Rozonkiewiecz, Music Educator for the Little Falls City School District and Vice President of H.C.M.E.A. “We are also very excited to have a full-capacity festival for the first time since 2019, including elementary students.”
The festival concert is Saturday, November 5, at 3:00 PM. Tickets will be available at the door beginning at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Admission is $3.00. Frankfort-Schuyler Jr./Sr. High School is located at 605 Palmer St., Frankfort, NY.
