You may not know the name Peter Pagliaro, but if you’ve listened to a Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs game or gone to Veterans Memorial Park to watch one, you’ve heard his voice. He’s the play-by-play announcer for the team, and he’s written his first book – The 1947 Utica Blue Sox – A Baseball Season to Remember.

The book is a detailed account of the players and personalities that captivated Utica 75 years ago and a slice of life that takes the reader back to a nearly-forgotten time. It’s available on Amazon, but Pete sat down Sunday with Tiffany Rutkowski, who was also involved with the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs. You can listen to or watch the interview below and purchase the book on Amazon.com.
