Recently I have noticed an increase in attention being brought to the issue of invasive species. As someone who spends quite a bit of time hiking and camping in our beautiful Adirondack Park, I am glad to see the issue being brought to the table. Our new Congresswoman, Elise Stefanik, who represents the entirety of the Adirondack Park, recently introduced a bill that would bring more awareness to nonnative invasive species in the area. The bill would also help in fighting back against invasive species by raising money through the U.S. Postal Service’s stamps. I am happy to have a Congresswoman who represents not only the people of our region, but all aspects of where we live.
